Creating Opportunities For Underserved Youth & Mothers

6/30/2019

In early 2018, Quest Communities launched “Quest Legacy Homes” which includes constructing seven new 3-bedroom, single family homes in the English Avenue neighborhood.

Quest has partnered with Atlanta Habitat for Humanity, CHRIS 180 and the Urban League of Greater Atlanta to create a residential program for young adults who formerly lived on the streets, aged out of foster care, or women and their children who are escaping from an abusive home.

Habitat for Humanity acts as the general contractor and Quest as the developer, owner and property managers. CHRIS 180, a local non-profit agency known for its expertise working with disenfranchised young adults, will lease the homes from Quest on behalf of their clients, and the Urban League will participate through its federal YouthBuild program.

Through this project, we expect to create a national model for developing sustainable, high quality, affordable housing that leverages the strengths of multiple non-profit organizations, local governmental funding, and philanthropy that provides housing with extensive supportive services for very low income persons and families.

Resident Retention Program
This summer, Quest will be partnering with CHRIS 180 and provide short-term rental housing and support services for Westside Atlanta legacy residents.

Residents will receive case management services from either Quest or CHRIS 180, and will be referred to On the Rise Financial Center for financial education, and Westside Works for employment training.

As Quest brings new affordable housing units online beginning in 2019, residents will potentially be placed in these units.

Funding for this program will come from the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation.
