Well before the COVID-19 pandemic, local housing experts and advocates were working to figure out ways to solve metro Atlanta’s housing crisis.

Now, eight months later, they are still on the front lines.
Nationally, according to several recent reports, it’s estimated that 30 million to 40 million people are at risk for eviction amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

For the November edition of “Coffee Conversations with Rose Scott,” the host talks with experts and city leaders about Atlanta’s affordable housing crisis and solutions to fix it.

During the virtual roundtable, panelists share their thoughts on gentrification, development, destigmatizing low-income housing and the importance of not displacing legacy residents.
The panelists also discussed the immediate steps city leaders, property owners and organizations can take to work together to end Atlanta’s housing affordability crisis.
